What I am talking about are this kind of fun roll’ n thrash bands I always pursue to cheer me up and make my day a living heaven. The fun fact is that the Proll Gunners do not originate from the US but from Salzburg, Austria.

Henrietta-Dead By Dawn

Artist:
Henrietta
Release:
Dead By Dawn
Label:
Sliptrick Records

If yours metal thirst begs for some zombie putrid blood in the form of Dutch thrash metal, then you are reading the right review my friend! Since you started reading, you can as well finish it and find out more how Henrietta can make you feel better. The band originates from the Netherlands and yes they had the usual line-up changes and problems. It’s not quite common for young bands to change their names the first time the original line-up twists, yet Henrietta have done it, not only once – but twice in five years.

Enfeeble-Momentum of Tranquility

Artist:
Enfeeble
Release:
Momentum of Tranquility
Label:
Independent

Enfeeble are pretty ‘old’ band, so to say, or better said mature one. They were formed in 2005 in Germany but didn’t go public for a long time. The reason was the tendency of finding the right course of music they want to perform, create and play. Mostly experimenting with thrash metal and modern music of any sort Enfeeble kind of made something new and entertaining. In 2014 they released the first incarnation entitled Encapsulate the Moment.

Amken is a brand new thrash quartet rising from the Greek underground basements to provoke every thrasher’s taste for spiced up metal joy. The band was originally formed in 2011 in Athens, a place where many new bands appear and a real struggle is required to stand out from the bunch. By not, Amken gave the metal world only one release in 2014 named Adrenaline Shot. This EP is the first appearance by which the band is going to be ‘judged’ further on in their careers.

Devastating Enemy - The Fallen Prophet

Artist:
Devastating Enemy
Release:
The Fallen Prophet
Label:
Twilight Zone Records

What we have here is a fresh, 2011 release by an Austrian band. Their style could primairly be described as technical death metal, full of rich melodies. Add some thrash parts and the blend is complete. Their influences naturally come from the Swedish melodic death metal pioneers, such as Dark Tranquility,or even At The Gates. The only prior knowledge that I had, concerning Austrian death metal, was Pungent Stench. And also, Disharmonic Orchestra.

Necrodeath - Idiosyncracy

Artist:
Necrodeath
Release:
Idiosyncracy
Label:
Scarlet records

Italian black/thrash metal veterans NECRODEATH are returning shortly after their previous effort which came out this past May with "Idiosyncrasy", which will be released in October via Scarlet Records. This new effort is arguably the band's most challenging so far, both musically and lyrically, consisting in one single, 40-minute-long track picturing the band’s approach of the eternal conflict between good and evil and the struggle towards reaching interior peace against all odds.
