Lacrimas Profundere

Melancholic somber hearts und gothic rock enthusiasts may sigh with anticipatory relief, as Lacrimas Profundere embarks on a new journey into their unique world. The chartbreakers and rock 'n' sad innovators will finally release their eagerly awaited new album "The Grandiose Nowhere" is destined to do away with all previous comparisons to other bands. It does not limit itself to one particular genre, as the musicians revolving around founding member Oliver Nikolas have created a masterpiece that adheres to their very own musical style.Oliver Nikolas answers some questions for subexistance.

From the day you formed as a band you change a lot musically. This was your choise or it came naturally?
Both, I think!  We never followed a fad and now the Lacrimas Circus drove from village to village since 17 years! I never wanted to do the same record twice, because this is as boring as sex with the lights off! With every record we open our eyes for new influences like buildings, cities, movies, art or whatever! Its great to see, that were able to compose a matchless epic melancholic rock album that doesn´t fit in any drawer without bathos and hokum! We knew we had a lot of fans that really love our former records but we know that they understand our new curse and if you ask me, we don´t break  the lacrimas cabin down, we only paint it new, put the garbage out and it got some new drains and a new bathroom! Laughs! All happens very naturally like the first kiss, the first sex or the first mouse! Hahaha!
Now you are one of the most successfull bands in the scene with thousand of fans.Have you fulfill your dreams you had when you started the band?
Yeah, because my biggest dream was only to get my CD in the record shop next door…
What makes a band successfull? Is it only hard work?
Yeah, and to believe in what you do, even if nobody does, ever! Trust me we had so many hard times, so many minutes, hours, or days we thought about to quit. We toured a lot, and the conditions where not the best. We all got kind of a burn out, but our fans gave us so many unforgettable moments that we´re still alive and we still work our asses off for them!
In your live shows are you from the bands that play say thank you and leave?Or you search direct contact with the audience?
We always seek the direct contact! We love to play in small clubs and touch the hands and see the faces of everybody! That’s my opinion of a good live gig! It should be like a concert in the living room together with friends.
Are there any places you haven't play live and you want to go?
If you ask me this question 2 month ago, I would say USA and Japan! Now our first Tour in USA is confirmed for the end of October, so only Japan is left!
You cooperate once again with John Fryer?
Yeah, he brings our Chaos bunch altogether and after a month we leave the studio with a new Album in the bag! So, he is very important, he knows what we want and we know what we get! Without him, we would fly to the next Island, roast in the sun and drink cocktails from the Labels Advance, hahaha!
Give me more details about your new album "The Grandiose Nowhere"
It´s wicked and dirty, something like the drunk brother of “HIM” with bikerboots, nobody wanted at the family celebration, or the sweet sister of “The Cult” who has a sideline at the tabledancebar next door! Its a “walk on the wild side!” This Album draws you down, spit you out, let you fly and in the next moment you echo on the brick at the rooftop of a high riser with a cigarette in your hand! Laugh! Sounds strange, but, this means the album to me!
What are the comments you get from the press and fans so far?
Fantastic, Good and bad! Its always the same! We got 10 out of 10 points in the important magazines and great reviews in some mags we never expected and sometimes we got bad reviews from people we never expected. But that’s the bizz! I don´t read the most of the reviews, because I give a shit to the opinion of others to something I created! No carpet layer would discuss his work with the whole world, so why should I?
A message to all the people that support the band all these years?
We love you! thanks for your neverending support and thanx to EVERYONE who bought THE GRANDIOSE NOWHERE Album! You are a part of the lacrimas family. You are more important than ever and accountable that we can continue! Thanx and hope to see you all soon, cheers!
