Location: From Brazil to Portugal

São Paulo (BR), in 1994; thinking how much rewarding to be in a DJ’s cab and to make the audience full the dancefloors, took me to obtain one night in a disco called MORCEGÓVIA with a party of best B sides plus a special session of Siouxsie and The Banshees. In the following year I assumed as specialized resident DJ in Dark Wave, Ethereal, Gothic and 80’s in this same Club, which would come to call THE THE in January 1996. Until the middle of 1998 I worked in THE THE. In this period some important projects had been born:
1. With my wife, we create L&L PROJECTS, that basically searched to develop our ideas and projects, to represent some products in stands and design the graphical arts, flyers and publications.
2. Joined to Dj. Kova, we launch the printed Fanzine The Arc of Descent; It objectified to bring good information, mainly to people didn’t have access to Internet; to divulge and improve the brazilian gothic scene; to publish interviews, matters, news, stories and poems; and organize events too.
3. We participate as supporter in a organization of 2 shows of the French band OPERA MULTI STEEL (FR).
4. I had my Top 10 published in the German Magazine ORKUS.
5. Invitation to pass sound in following discos: ARSENICO, ARKHAN ASYLUM, PROJETO HYSTERIA and INSPIRAL.

In August of 98, Luciana, I and another two partners, inaugurate a new disco in São Paulo, UMBRAL, that are considered, for many, one of the best Alternative discos that already existed in São Paulo’s nights. For Umbral’s stage had passed diverse DJs, performers and bands as PP? (DE), KALTE STERN, LOOP B, Ocaso, TWILIGHT GODS, among others.
Problems between partners couldn’t keep the same success gotten for the Umbral... So, in 1999, I was to work and to be invited in other bars: THORNS PUB, DEJA VU, PROJETO GRIND (A LOCA), CASARÃO DA LUZ and in 1st GOTHIC RAVE THORNS.
In 2000 I came back to work as resident Dj and promoter in the first and second clubs, now with the name of MADAME SATÃ.

In 2001, when returning from a Europe vacation..s trip, we initiate a new phase in our projects, with new thoughts and another vision for the Brazilian scene. I started to pass some practically unknown bands and styles, namely: Future Pop, Neo Folk and Medieval. In this year I was invited to integrate the Project GOTHAM FASHION with DJ Alex Twin (INDIVIDUAL INDUSTRY and 3 COLD MEN) and DJ Pherro. In one of these parties, we divide the Dj..s cab with WAYNE HUSSEY (THE MISSION UK) .

In 2002, many other projects:

1. I started 6 projects in the GOTHAM CLUB : HYPNOTIKCIRCUIT (Electronic Music), IGNIS ET FERRUM [BR] (Brazilian version of the same German Party), BEHIND THE MASK (Covers and Remixes), REMEMBRANCE (80’s, Rares and B Sides), SHADOWLAND (Gothic Rock and Metal) and THE SPIRITUAL WAYS (Female Voices).

2. Resident DJ and promoter of a disco called HOLLOCAUSTO.

3. We organize and promote THE 1st ARC OF DESCENT..s FESTIVAL, with the Germam banda ABSURD MINDS and the Brazilians TWILIGHT GODS , CYBERTHREAT , REALITY and NOXIOUS FRACTION .

Other Discos where I djed and need to be cited are: PROJETO GRIND (A LOCA), FRONT 575, K BULL, CAFE URANUS, ORBITAL, ÁREA 51, R.I.P. (SALAMANDRA), KM 116 and THE FUTURE (HOLE CLUB).

The year of 2004 marks our change to PORTUGAL. We establish in Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto).

At the end of year I already passed sound in a bar called PARKE... This was the beginning of project DARK HE[ART] PARKE with another 2 Portuguese DJs: Ecstasy.Act and Methaphosis.

In 2005, I made 2 parties in PASSOS MANUEL, located in Porto. The first one with Gothic thematic was called OH NO! ANOTHER GOTHIC NIGHT! And the second one was a remembrance of Gotham’s parties: OH NO! BEHIND THE MASK!, showing classic songs into Gothic and Electro versions. In middle of this year, We travel to Brazil (São Paulo), where I passed sound in some places; FROM HELL, PROJETO SOD (HOLE CLUB), PROJETO GRIND (A LOCA), R.I.P. (SALAMANDRA) and in alternative fair called PULGUEIRO.

When coming back Portugal, I started to organize the thursdays of PARKE. The party started to call BOUQUET OF DREAMS with some differentials: The participation of Guests DJs each week and the exploration of all "Dark Wave Tendencies". In this period that appeared the 2 webpages in Myspace: www.myspace.com/djluizsonciniand www.myspace.com/bouquetofdreams.
The Bouquet of Dreams’ nights continue to run well and to reach prestige into Portuguese Alternative Scene... This bring us the possibility to make Special Parties, like that one happened at December 2005, with live act of DREAM METAPHOR and photograph exposition by ANDRÉ HENRIQUES.

In 2006 a new event in PASSOS MANUEL, OH NO! ANOTHER LIVE ACT, with live acts of STRUCTURA and M-PEX, both from Lisbon. April, we organized a performance of another project from Lisbon, VELGENATURLIG (at Parke) and on May I’m djing for the first time at SPAIN (Ourense).

With honour, I started to make interviews and reviews for 2 Portuguese Alternative Magazines, SOL DE PEDRA and ELEGY IBERICA. Issue after issue the pleasure and evolution for these works became bigger and currently I’m into Editorial Staff of ELEGY IBERICA Magazine and responsible for Brazilian market too.

A new project is P.A.C., the PORTUGUESE ALTERNATIVE CHARTS , with another importants friends. This one aims to represent the Portuguese preferences; beside it to show the organization, evolution and all aspects of Portugal alternative scene.
In 2007, Bouquet of Dreams become monthly with more frequency of special parties, like the live acts of the australian DANDELION WINE and the portuguese collective IN TEMPUS; also special parties like “ELEGY IBÉRICA’s ISSUES” and “2006 BLAST OFF”.

Together with DJ [REPLYCANT], decide to return with that succesfull Brazilian Electro Party »HYPNOTIKCIRCUIT» to divulge all the styles into the Alternative Electronic Scene, as well to give opportunity for new and old Portuguese Projects (and the other countries too), like the concerts of PSYCHOTEKTRAUMA and SCI FI INDUSTRIES vs SHHH.... The parties happen all months in a club called FÁBRICA DE SOM (PORTO), where we organized other event called GOTHIC NIGHTS, but it had a short time of life.

In these first 6 months of 2007, I..m proud to be guested for the After Party of the belgian STAR INDUSTRY act and for another special event at Braga, ANDROIDS & ELECTRIC SHEEP with 4 great portuguese projects... As well, one more time at PROJETO GRIND (A LOCA) in Brazil.

Like “press and photgrapher”; we were again at WAVE GOTIK TREFFEN, continue to work hard for Elegy Ibérica Magazine and started a little colaborations with some brazilian sites/magazines like NOVO METAL and DYNAMITE .

Since the second half year of 2007, we are showing the developments of our projects and proving our capacity (most time together with nsi-online) in promote nice events and organize concerts nationals and international ones, like ASSEPTIC ROOM (ES), HELIGOLAND (AUS/FR), ATTRITION (UK), STEREOMOTION (DE) and SYRIAN (IT). Is important to cite alternative After Parties, WGT photos expositions and other special parties that we realized in that period.
2008 started with a long notebook of events, includes a new project called DECADES, who mix different alternative styles during these mainly 3 last decades, open one more stage to bands and happens at a club in Porto called UPTOWN .

As a recognition of all my work long these years, I received 2 important and honoured invitations to djing at festivals. The first one on April I will be on last day of STFU PORTO 2008, the night will have a FLINT GLASS (FR) concert between others. The second one is a dream turns true!!! Be a DJ at WAVE GOTIK TREFFEN, djing on Sunday 11th May at MORITZBASTEI.

Detach points is the live acts organization of names as ARCHÉTYPO 120, ETERNALL FALL (ES), U.M.M., ESC, AKTIV[E|H]ATE, LOKOMOTIV, CONTROL ALT DEUS, TATSUMAKI, GHOSTS OF DAWN (DE), NOVUS (UK) among others... Besides started a little colaborations with some brazilian sites/magazines PHANTASMA 13 and GOTHIC STATION, the cooperative events realization with other promoters as INFECTED SOUNDZ and C.S.I., first edition of GENERATION 80 party and the inclusion of DJANE INFEKT[ION] at HYPNOTIKCIRCUIT, become our team more strong (and beautiful).

However the main points of second part of 2008 was my DJ set in After Party of DIARY OF DREAMS (DE) concert in Lisbon, the invitation to integrate, play and make some noises in Industrial Portuguese Project OOCITO II and the participation and organization of LOCK THE TARGET FEST, with bands as E-CRAFT (DE), PURWIEN (DE), LARVA (ES) and A7IE (FR).
2009 started with the old projects continuation and a new one, more commercial and pop, HIT THIS had the first party ay a nice club in Porto called ARMAZÉM DO CHÁ.

Beside DJ set and play with OOCITO II, I was as co-producers of STFU PORTO 2009.

One of the highest points in this year was a second consecutive DJ participation at WAVE GOTIK TREFFEN, this time at DARK FLOWER CLUB.

More great points of 2009 was the participation at FESTIVAL ELEKTROCUTION:RESURRECTION (August) and the organization and participation on LOCK THE TARGET FEST 2009 (October), with bands as ATTRITION (UK), AD:KEY (DE), STIGMATROZ (ES), DEVIANT (UK) and KAOS-FREQUENZ (DE).

Beyond restarted Decades project in a new bar called RISCAS (now O NINHO DE NOSFERATU), I had great honour in organize one more performance of M-PEX and the first concert of gothic rock portuguese band BAL ONIRIQUE.

2010 started with the concert organization (and DJ set) of some national projects as SYSTEMIC FAILURE , THERMIDOR , EZYLOHM_TEK and U.M.M. ; a new party called RADAR 90, started at a nice club called JANELA INDIESCRETA and the participation on PORTAL GÓTICO ..s project UNDERGROUND REVOLUTIONS, who happens at HEAVENS GOTHIC BAR.

Meanwhile the highest 2010 point until now was the DJ set at Official After FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM Concert Party, organized by GOTH N ROCK.

New parties are bookmarked and another ones will be book... I continue the search of new places for new parties and projects... Always with a simple objective, to fortify the alternative scene...
