Enshadowed
Athenians extreme metallers Enshadowed are coming up with a full length album called "Magic Chaos Psychedelia". They had given us excellent results with "Messengers of the darkest dawn" and "Intensity" as full length albums...Let's see what Golgotha told us..
SubX: Hello Golgotha! Getting started I would like you to tell me about the creation and the development of the band.
Golgotha: Hello to you too. First of all Enshadowed started back in 1998 under the name Sacrificial When we released our first demo “Dethroned”. Then we changed our name into Nocternity Enshadowed and there were two demos and one promo which gave us our first contract. Before the release of “Messengers Of the Darkest Dawn” at 2002 our name changed into the last form Enshadowed. At 2003 our second album “Intensity” got out and in 2006 there was a split CD with Thornspawn “6.6.6.”. We also have two split 7’ discs the first one “Necrosimon” with Mantak and the second one “The Epitome Of Neverending Evil “with our Brazilian friends Vulturine. Last but not least there was a 4-way split with Angstridden, Burial Hordes and Devathorn under the name “Secta Nova”.
SubX: Are there bands that influenced you from the beginning of your musical steps as Enshadowed?
Golgotha: Of course there are bands like Mayhem, Emperor, Morbid Angel, Slayer, Dodheimsgard, Thorns and Behemoth that have influenced us since the beginning but I believe that we have managed to adjust all of them to our one sound.
SubX: Could you give me some information’s about your upcoming album “Magic Chaos Psychedelia”? What's the content of your lyrics? When will it be out?
Golgotha: Our new record “Magic Chaos Psychedelia” is almost ready. We are working at Devasound studios with Fotis Bernardo from Septic Flesh and I have to admit that he is an incredible person. Very professional at his work and also a guy you can easily hang out with. Right now we have finished the recordings and we have to do the mixing and the mastering. The lyrics are going to be at same pattern as the previous releases. They are totally antireligious and against all the things they want to keep our minds imprisoned. You know that’s a discussion that could days to finish.
SubX: About the artwork of the upcoming album, what messages do you want to give to the fans through this cover? Who is responsible about this?
Golgotha: For the artwork responsible is N.E.C.R.O and a friend of his which she designed Lucifer. The cover represents the meaning of our lyrics, how we are part of this universe, how to rebel against anything false and that we are born to dust and come to dust.
SubX: What thoughts or feelings you want to express through your music?
Golgotha: The first and the most important thing is to create music that we like. We are persons who want to be developed both as personalities and musicians. Our main course is not to be the favorite band of every metalhead but we want to see everyone who listen to our music how proud we are about this. Like I say, music is a reason to live.
SubX: What the concerts mean for Enshadowed? What is the feeling play live in front of a crowd?
Golgotha: Concerts means a lot to us. Is the best way to show your music to the crowd and see their reactions. We are a live band and we want to play as many concerts as we can get as long as the circumstances are decent for us in order to perform. To perform live is an incredible feeling and I believe that I’m speaking for the entire band. We are very excited every time we get on the stage and we give 100% of ourselves out there.
SubX: Can you remember the most strange or funny incident on stage?
Golgotha: I don’t that there was any strange or funny incident during a live shown, besides that almost every time we have problems with our sound and of course is not from our side the problem. The most strange and funny stuffs take place before and after the concert.
SubX: All these years you have performed a lot of lives shows with bands like Dark Funeral, Impaled Nazarene, Belphegor, Arkhon Infaustus, Mayhem.... How was the experience? Do you think that it helped to your future path?
Golgotha: It was really great to play with all this bands and some of them they were really cool guys. I don’t believe that those lives will help us in the future beside the fact that we performed in front a lot of people.
SubX: What are your plans for the near future?
Golgotha: We want to finish with our new record “Magic Chaos Psychedelia” and then find a label in order to release it. After we want to make as many lives as we can and of course if we can arrange a mini tour abroad.
SubX: Thank you for the interview! The last words are yours.
Golgotha: I want to thank you personally for your questions and hope to see you soon. If you want to check our music go to www.myspace.com/enshadowedband
Keep supporting extreme metal
