My Inner Burning

My Inner Burning

Aside of all predominating trends the 5 German guys from lower saxony present themselves refreshingly free from clichés. Whereas other bands routinely play faster, harder, louder MY INNER BURNING convince with brilliant melodies. Diversified metal with low tuned guitars meets female vocals sung powerful and sometimes sweet and soft like a breeze.

Tell me a few words how all things started?
Laying the foundation-stone in May 2008 Nik and me (Sauer) recorded the first demo "Fuck you all" under the bandname The Core. A bassist (Cliff) and a second guitarist and shouter (Deibl) was found quickly. The search for the perfect singer was a little bit more difficult and took time until November 2008. Then Becky joined the band and the demo could be made complete. This demo rose in waves and after doing several shows in Germany the recordings for our first self titled album took place in June/July 2009. In August we decided to change our bandname to MY INNER BURNING. After negotiating with different record companies we finally signed a record deal in October with SAOL/CMM, which released the album on 13.11.2009.
Which are the band members and how each one of you take part in the music composition?
Becky sings, Nik plays drums, Cliff plays bass and Deibl and me (Sauer) are playing guitar. Deibl also does our shouts.Mainly Becky and me are writing the songs but the other guys are also giving their input to the songs. Mostly some arrangement stuff.
Define me your music. It is not only metal there is a compination of more music elements.
Everything we like find its way into our music somehow. There is also some pop stuff and gothic in it. Whatever fits the song is used.
What inspires you the most?
Life.
Your self titled album released in 2009.Tell me more about this release?
Well, it´s been our start into the business and we are very proud of it. You can see the range in which My Inner Burning is moving. From quiet and sad moments to agressive songs and even funny ones. Everything is in there waiting for you to be heard. :-)
What is the feeling on the stage?
Playing live is the most important thing for us. We love to go on stage and rock with the crowd. I think that is what music is all about. Going on stage and freaking out.We all have more fun playing live than recording albums and I think you can see this in our shows. We all do it by heart and this is what the audience can feel.
Which are your memories from your greek live shows?
Our Greece tour was absolutely awesome. We didn´t expect that many guys coming to our shows and enjoying our music. The audience is much crazier than here in Germany. Most of the fans are just listening to the music, standing around and watching the band. In Greece everybody was totally freaking out from the first note we played. It was absolutely amazing. I had the best show of my whole career in the Cascada bar in Corfu. It was such an intense feeling of people going totally crazy while standing right in front of you. The stage was very small and the audience was nearly head to head with us. So that was a great experience I never will forget.

How about future plans? Are there any plans for a new release?
We are already working on our second album which we will record in the near future. Half of the songs are already finished yet.
Are you satisfied with the comments from the press and the fans so far?
Yes! The feedback from the press and the fans so far was great. Personally I don´t care too much what people are writing about our cd as long as the fans are enjoying it. But when the press also writes good things about it I´m fine. ;-)
A message to all the people that support you all this years?
Thanks for all your help and believing in us. Especially you guys in greece for making our tour such a big success and an awesome trip for us we will never forget.

Hope to see you soon on the road!
