Raw In Sect

 Raw In Sect were formed in 2005.In 2010 they finished their recordings of their debut "Red Flows".Here is an interview with the band for subexistance.

Tell me a few words about the history of the band and what was the motive to create the band?
The band was formed in 2005 and the main motive was to create modern metal that could take a spot in the music scene.
Which are the band members and how each one of you take part in the music composition and lyrics?
Raw In Sect is Kostas Diamandis on Vocals and Guitars, Jim Alexiou on Drums, Bill Kranos on Guitars and George Vasilopoulos on Bass and Backing Vocals. The riffs are mostly written by Kostas and the arrangement takes place in the studio at rehearsals where everyone can participate. So, we go in the studio having a structure of the songs and we complete them there. The lyrics come later by Kostas.
You combine a lot music elements can you describe me your sound?
It is modern thrash metal with death metal and progressive metal influences.
Give me more details about your debut "Red Flows"
Red Flows is consisted of 11 songs and we are currently looking for a label to release it. It has been recorded at Encore Studio, mixed at Basement Studio and mastered by Bill Kranos. It is very aggressive and goes deep in the mind trying to verify the true reason of human’s existence. Raw In Sect are very much into philosophical matters and Red Flows is the band’s first official effort to take part in the global music scene.
Are you completely satisfied with the result of "Red Flows"
Of course we are satisfied, but as time passes by, we gain experience and we can see some things we would do different if we recorded it now. The result is very close to what we had in mind that makes us happy.
What is your expectation through this release?
We are expecting to mark our existence in the music world, start touring so the band can gain some reputation. It is a huge ladder to the top and we believe Red Flows will offer us a grip in the bottom of that ladder.
What about the lyrics of the  album?
The lyrics are monologues that someone would like to have with persons that have appeared as obstacles to his/her life. There is something philosophical in the lyrics that includes psychological and social observations.
How are you going to support this release?
As soon as the album is released, we will start playing shows around so we can spread the word about Raw In Sect. Shows are the best way to support your band. Of course, we aim for a good contract (as much as possible) so there can be some promotion in magazines, webzines, radio stations etc.
You have a lot of live experience.Tell me about your feelings on the stage?
We like playing shows and we are focused on our music while we are on stage so we can produce the band’s sound live. There are lot of sections in Raw In Sect’s music and that makes rehearse a lot so we can communicate with the crowd while we are playing instead of worrying about making it through with each song.
Tell me about the comments you get from fans and the press so far?
Everything seems so positive to the point that becomes encouraging. We don’t get excited though, we work hard on the band in order to prove that we deserve the reputation we gain.

We want to thank everyone that has been a part of Raw In Sect either by playing an instrument in the band or has been to show. We want to thank everyone that has thought about Raw In Sect.
