 The STAHLSCHLAG Industrial - Power Noise - Project was founded in February 2006.The members of the german project enjoy powerfull electronic music and that's the intention why they create own songs in this genre.

You were formed in 2006.What pushes you to make STAHLSCHLAG ?
We had no special motivation to make STAHLSCHLAG. It was only an idea from Nicole. She wishes to experiment with Rhythm and Noise and so STAHLSCHLAG was born. Before this project we were making music in the genre of EBM / Dark Electro with another project, but this project no longer exists.
Which are the members of the band and how each member take part in the music composition?
We are two members. Nicole is the creative head in the band. She created STAHLSCHLAG is responsible for Soundesign, Sampling, Programming of Synths and Virtual Synths, Artwork & Webdesign. Sebastian tasks are Mixing, Rhythm and also Programming. Both members compose all tracks together.
What things inspires you the most?
Oh, no special things inspire us. We make the music, we like at most. Our only motivation is to create music, which people have fun with. We don't want to spread political or social messages with the songs, but we are happy, when our music inspires to dance. :o)
What was the fans and press reactions to your latest lp "Anthropocene"
We received very good reactions to our lates lp. Our fans like it very much and one of the most important German Gothic magazines published a cool review about it. But the truth is, that we didn't get very much reactions from the press. Our record label didn't make enough PR, but that's ok ,STAHLSCHLAG is only a hobby and the opinions of our fans are more important to us.
Are there any plans for a new release?
Yes, sure. If we have enough free time, we create some music. But we have no special plans, like a release date or a release title about a new lp. It also depends on our US Record Label.
Give me a name for your music?
Ah, not an easy question. It's one of the most discussed themes to place music into a genre. If we take reactions from some of our fans, so our misc could be Industrial, Noise, Techno or more special genres like Schranz. We always used the name Industrial Power Noise. This name shows, that we don't want to create music in a special genre, our music shall be a mix of different genres. We think it's not important to be a part in a specific genre, the only thing that counts is, that we like our sound and we are very pleased, when other people like it too.
The Germany scene is huge.What makes you different than the other bands?
To be honest. We didn't create a whole new sound and it's not our ambition to differ a lot from other projects. STAHLSCHLAG makes a lot of fun an is our most important hobby. Maybe that's makes a difference to some others projects. We don't care about too much about it. I could imagine that other musicians care about a lot about their music.
Tell me about your live shows?What is the feeling on the stage?
To be live is the best thing, when you're a musician. It's a real cool feeling to see people dancing to the music you perform. In the past we hadn't much live shows yet, but every live show is a special event. The thrill before and during the concert is amazing. Regrettably, Nicole couldn't perform on stage, yet. So, Sebastian had to be alone on stage, but it was anyway a cool feeling for him.We think our live shows will be more fun, when we perform together.
