Could you imagine the result of mixing EBM with the old Black Metal style in a same sound? Just take a listen to one of the 10 records that this amazing band from New Zealand called Beltane, has released: “…Through Darker Seasons” is one of them. They called them “Seasonal Releases”, due to the season when the album was composed. Could it be this in relation to the name of the band? Possibly: “Beltane” refers to the Gaelic  names for either the month of May or the festival that takes place on the first day of May. For the Celtics, Beltane marked the beginning of the pastoral summer season when the herds of livestock were driven out to the summer pastures and mountain grazing lands. With this ambient of paganism and Celtic traditions, we start our journey around the Beltane´s mysteries.  One of the underground bands that can get you hooked and makes you feel their spell deep in your souls. Smash hits as “Sentinel ov Death” or “Satanic Reawakening MMVI” an instrumental song called “The Adversary” or their two magnificent covers of “Call Ships to Port” (Covenant) or “Baby Gotterdamerung” (Monster Magnet), gives to us an important clue: the versatility of a beginner band that seems to have been playing since years and years ago.Reminiscences of Rammstein or even the great Black Sabbath, compose this intriguing mixture that can goes from the music for dancing into a industrial party to the wildest and darkest Black Metal: powerful riffs, choirs, satanic mandolins, fast keyboards…What else could we expect from this awesome band formed by only two people: Xanataph  (lead guitars and vocals) and Baphgirl (bass and vocals). Anyway…this is your chance to dive into one of the most surprising experiments of the metal scene.
