First and foremost, the album in whole, the music along with the vocals is performed by Stephan Sutor, and that’s definitely a plus for his effort put overall.

Let’s now focus on the cd: it starts off with ‘Vampire’ (one can understand the lyrics..) , a slow tempo composition at first, with rare outbursts in which the electronic musical elements come in aid. A decent goth song, catchy, however devoid of inspiration and ends, judging by its structure, being a song which actually refers to an audience <18 years old, an audience stylistically relevant; a quite indifferent one to me though. On with ‘Walking On Air’: this has another formula used, indie soundings, catchy song, well executed, and the singing rejecting all corny clichés, offering a musical color, a style, the quality a composition requires in order to be rendered unique. Next song’s style, ‘I am You’, is reminiscent of the ‘Vampire’ one, thankfully enough though, it swiftly turns to a harsher sound and the song actually happens to be an industrial rock gimmick (astonishing)! ‘Blow My Mind’ follows up next, which represents the style, which most fits Stephan’s needs. The vocals are touching, the music is very well constructed, balanced, and as the title suggests, it will blow your mind. ‘Losing Control’ is a corny ballad, a so called melancholic one – extremely boring, on with the next. ‘Reason Is Nothing’: much experimentation occurs, and, in the end, loses its very substance. I leave that to your judging-as far as concerning myself, it confused me! ‘Artificial Love’ is by far the album’s greatest song, a down tempo gothic ballad, which escapes the clichés that run him; Stephan composes such a wonderful song, in a musical speech dramatic, nostalgic, with a pessimistic accent and a poetic mood – he offers what we ‘ve been waiting for, simply captivating. ‘All Alone’ is next and again with the experimentation, but this is a breed that satisfies the listener. The album’s concluding composition, ‘I Am a Drama’, is a highly theatrical one, slightly irrelevant to the rest of the songs, but truly a great one. Maybe in this one he wills to show his performance skills, how great a singer he is (well, he is).

Now, what can one say about this cd, apart from recognizing Stephan’s multi-talented persona? If you ask me, it would be wiser if he focused on a specific musical style. Experimentations are welcomed, but should be used with caution and balance. Also, I reject all pseudo-romantic mainstream characteristics the album features, which are many and encage him as an artist. I expect he will keep the album’s many good elements and implement them in his release to come. Sometimes, music should just be simple, to be unique.
