Statik Sky - They Look to the Sky

The highly anticipated album by Holland’s electronic musical force ‘Statik Sky’ is finally to be released in April and fans of hard dance music will be greatly  satisfied, old school and new school alike! Since it’s formation ‘Statik Sky’,
led by Stefan Petrie, have been producing a considerable mix of of dark industrial beats with techno and trance influences leading to a very interesting result which has caught the attention of various renowned bands of the genre with whom  ‘Statik sky’ have shared the stage with such as Tactical Sekt, Xotox, Melotron, Grendel, Colony 5, Heimataerde, and many more.

The new album entitled ‘They Look To The Sky’ is a really powerfull record which derives from many influences such as ‘The Prodigy’ or ‘Chemical Brothers’, producing some really raw and forcefull grooves. Fisrt song of the album is ‘‘Addicted to It’’, and you could really be after listening to that song! It’s a great way to start the album with a heavy beat  and some dark dance electronics that are present throughtout thewhole album as well, this song is vigorous and compelling  with some dark atmospherics. The whole album continues in the same pace, the beats are mostly fast and violent with the industrial element being particularly present at all times, with some really potential club tracks following such as “My First Time” and “Gonna Need Drugs”. The music is totally to be played in a club as it offers nothing musically as it cuts across many genres without being original or mind-blowing but it is definately gonna set your mood for dancing if you’re really into this thing. Apart from the seven high profile tracks that the album is boosted with, the album also inlcudes some very interesting remixes from SAM, Soman and NG-Pro and a cover of the classic rave anthem “In My Mind” as well which puts the album to an end. What we have here is some really frustrated and naughty music that should be unleashed in the dark walls of a club.

All in all ‘They Look To The Sky’ is an album that will be love by fans of the certain genre as it includes some amazing club tracks. The production does not feature real instruments or certain dark and ambient atmosphere as it’s mostly made with synths and computers. Basically it’s just some good and powerful music you can dance to. I can’t say that you will become really ‘‘Addicted to It’’ but it will definately get you going for sure!
