The Germans Zeritas’ debut, ‘metamorphose’, is the issue: this album is so not a one – dimensional release; the gothic musical elements, that (certainly) dominate, aside, there is quite the genre plethora:  ‘metamorphose’ features electronic musical nips, along with parts reminiscent of a horror film soundtrack (quite the ambience).

In general terms, this debut is a down tempo gothic one, with heavy injects of pessimism, somewhat cine they actually are, however all stand in absolute musical balance, dark, yet with trip  touches. I don’t quite distinguish spots of experimentation, as the band serves the listener with what they want: their own configured sound. Seek not for euphoria charged emotions in their music, or any simple/ accessible stuff – quite the opposite may I say, this breed is perplex, anti – commercial to the end with this communion of dark beauty, harmony and pessimism having been packed in one cd, perhaps not for each and everyone (although albums of this musical offset should enjoy gothic audience’s universal recognition), for this band concentrates all those features a great goth album should – and even if I come to be a mean one, all the stupid bittersweet tunes referring to thirteen years old teens are absent.

If you will to find yourself encaged in this bleak chamber Zeritas are to take you, to be given the chills to, to relax, and experience some beautiful, obscure musical moments, then this debut hits right on spot.
